You Are Not Alone: The Importance of Building Community as a Burgeoning Writer
A Talk by Eden Lackner (Author, Academic and Editor)
About this Talk
Writing can seem like a lonely venture: the author alone, butt in chair, imagining characters and worlds in an empty room. But writing doesn't need to be solitary. In fact, getting to know other writers and building a community to participate in can sometimes be the difference between productivity and despair. But where does one start finding other writers? Who are you looking for? How hard is it to build and maintain that community? This talk will walk you through avenues to finding and creating a writing group, and the benefits to maintaining those connections.
