About this Talk
The world of independent publishing can be daunting. Writers need to learn a host of skills: how to set up a business, how to find the people they need to support them (e.g., editors and cover designers), how to format their books for publication, and how to publish on various platforms. In today’s crowded market, how to gain visibility, enhance discoverability, and find readers are critical to a writer’s success. Fortunately, we don’t have to tackle these things alone.
This workshop will focus on the benefits (and challenges) of collaborative series (a multi-author series focused on a particular genre/trope/theme) and how such series can benefit writers by sharing accountability, knowledge/expertise, and resources. It will also look at things to consider when deciding if a collaborative series is right for you.
